Get On Board
Board Matching Program
FOR BOARD PROSPECTS
Get On Board connects REALIZE Board trained professionals with established, local nonprofits. Local nonprofits must have been established within the last five years, demonstrate a need for new Board members in 2024 and beyond, and a commitment to board development through new community leadership. All board prospects must demonstrate a commitment to serving on a nonprofit board, and all that it entails.
Application Process
Applications for Get On Board are received and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
-
All applicants must have completed at least four of the eight REALIZE Board training courses within the last two years.
-
Applications will be reviewed by the United Way of El Paso County and the REALIZE Board Training program.
-
Once a match is identified, board prospects and the nonprofit leadership team (ED + Board Chair) should meet to learn more about the role, expectations, and each other.
-
All matches of the Get On Board program will be announced at the end of the year. Due to a variety of factors and needs, we cannot guarantee a match for all applicants.
